Replacement Velcon O Series O-81588 Coalescer Cartridge for Fuel Water Separation

The O Series coalescer cartridge is the first-stage filtration element in a fuel filter/separator system. It is designed to remove solid contaminants and separate free or emulsified water from hydrocarbon fuels.

During operation, contaminated fuel flows from the outside to the inside of the coalescer cartridge. The high-efficiency coalescing media captures dirt particles and combines small water droplets into larger droplets. These larger water droplets then move to the downstream separator stage for final removal.

The replacement O Series cartridges provide reliable fuel purification performance for jet fuel, aviation gasoline (Avgas), diesel fuel, and other hydrocarbon applications.

Working Principle:

The coalescer cartridge performs two important functions.

Solid Particle Filtration:The multi-layer filtration media removes: RustDirt, Pipe scale ,Mechanical particles, Other solid contaminants.

Water Droplet Coalescing : The specialized coalescing media causes tiny emulsified water droplets to:Attach to the fiber surface, combine with other droplets form larger water droplets.The enlarged water droplets can then be separated by the downstream separator cartridge.
